This was a real treat, having my mom join me for this new series "Moments with Mom." Did you know my mom and dad owned several real estate offices in New England?

40 Years of Real Estate!

That's right. Mom was a Realtor for more than 40 years! She and dad owned seven offices in Connecticut with more than 150 real estate agents working for their brokerage. I remember working at the office during Summer breaks, answering phones and helping where I could. That was my first taste of real estate, and boy did I learn a lot from that experience.

Mom The Mayor

I forgot to mention that mom was the mayor of our town before getting into real estate! As a kid, that meant I couldn't get in any trouble, or else I'd put my family's reputation in jeopardy. My sister and I had a great childhood and we remember mom and dad being hard workers who always had time for us kids. So I asked my mom...

How Did You Do It??

In the video below, you'll see I asked my mom how she handled being a successful real estate broker, town mayor, church leader, AND mother of two? "Carefully," she said. She valued her time with family and always had her heart set on helping others. The Golden Rule was ingrained in our DNA as kids, and she is the perfect example of putting others first and going above and beyond to help others.
